MURRAY ROAD MULTI-GENERATIONAL HOUSE

This is an intergenerational multi-family house to accommodate 3 adult siblings, their families and their elderly parent.

The plan allows for independence and privacy, with the flexibility to bring the family together when desired. Outdoor spaces act as connectors as well as dividers.

A range of shared internal and external living spaces, located at ground and first floor, allow the overlapping edges of the spaces for the 3 families to shift as circumstances change, a solution to future proofing the house.

The alternating pitched forms reflect the surrounding context, at the same time creating a finer grain and human scale.
